Disney-Pixar’s first classic gets an Iron Studios statue!

In a world where toys come to life, the figures of a cowboy sheriff, star of a 1950s children’s TV series, and a space ranger inspired by a movie, once rivals competing for their owner’s favor, have become best friends after working together to escape various threats and return to the boy who cherishes them. On a base that features the colors, textures, and elements of the bedroom of the affectionate young toy owner who is the heart and soul of this saga, the space hero rests one leg on a wooden cube with alphabet letters from an educational toy, with a small green toy soldier saluting in front of him, while his old west lawman partner, with crossed legs and holding his lasso, leans on his friend’s shoulder. Entering the annals of history as the first feature film released in theaters made entirely with computer-generated imagery, Toy Story is one of only two animations (alongside Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs) listed among the 100 greatest American films of all time according to the American Film Institute, recognized by film analysts and scholars as one of the most iconic cult classics of the 20th century. In the story, magical toys come to life in the absence of humans and pretend to be lifeless when not alone. In this world, a fabric cowboy sheriff doll named Woody is the favorite of a boy named Andy Davis, and the leader of the toys in Andy’s room. The boy receives a surprise birthday gift, an action figure of Buzz Lightyear, a space ranger who impresses all the toys with his features. Buzz does not realize he is a toy and believes he is a real space ranger who has landed on an unknown planet, which irritates Woody, who insists on convincing him otherwise. In their adventures and struggles for Andy’s affection, they end up in the hands of Sid Phillips, Andy’s neighbor. Sid is a bully and mischievous little boy with anger issues who loves to destroy toys along with Scud, his mischievous dog, but they manage to escape with the help of mutant toys created by Sid.
